What was inspired by lived experience of being a parent living away from extended family, and isolated in the NICU during the pandemic lockdowns, has now grown into a community that seeks to support parents in ways that have not traditionally been filled - that gap between extracurricular activities and crisis support. The sometimes missing “village” in modern day parenting that practically supports the parent who raises the child.
UP Inc started in 2023 with Tani and Sarah and the Little Red Hens program (which continues to be our keystone program, and was designed to be a program that could continue during lockdowns) - but always with the dream of being able to provide more supports that address common parenting issues such as sleep deprivation, time to exercise and take care of your body, social time away from kids (remember your first name?), learning how to release and move through stress, and a community that operates like extended family so that you can feel, be, and do your best.
We are excited to have built a solid foundation of supporters, volunteers, and board members that is allowing UP Inc. to expand its programming and outreach. If you would like to help us, we always intake volunteers and sponsors - please contact us.
